Description: Very nice example of a published Confederate .69 buckshot cartridge manufactured at the Columbus Arsenal in Georgia. The front half contains the shot load, while the back half holds the powder charge. This is the short variant, with an overall length of 2.6 inches.

This mint-condition example is the exact cartridge featured in the Round Ball to Rimfire series and bears Dean Thomas’s collection number "140” written on the side. A rare and desirable Confederate cartridge from the renowned Dean Thomas collection!
