Z8930 .54 Round Ball Cartridge Packet for M1842 Pistols
Description: Excellent example of an original wrapped packet containing ten .54 caliber pistol cartridges without percussion caps. This packet is in outstanding condition, showing only minimal soiling. The paper wrap remains fully intact, with no holes or tears.
These cartridges were predominantly used in Model 1842 percussion pistols manufactured by Henry Aston, Ira Johnson, and the Palmetto Armory of Columbia, South Carolina. They were also compatible with a variety of earlier .54 caliber pistols that had been converted from flintlock to percussion ignition.
A superb and scarce example that would beautifully complement any Model 1842 pistol display. These original packets are rarely encountered today.
