Z8976 .56-50 Spencer Rimfire Cartridge
Description: Nice example of a .56-50 Spencer rimfire variant. This cartridge was primarily used in the Model 1865 Spencer carbine, though it was also compatible with a few other firearms chambered for the ".50 Carbine” cartridge.
This example features a flat-nose bullet crimped into a copper case with a slight cylindrical throat or neck. The case has three bullet seating crimps, typical of .56-50 production variants.
The bullet shows minimal oxidation, and the case exhibits light spotting throughout. Notably, there are two small tick marks on the head. A very presentable example of a .56-50 Spencer cartridge with a lightly necked copper case.
Headstamp: None, two tic marks are present.
