Description: Outstanding excavated group of ten .69 caliber Buck and Ball cartridges, recovered from the historic Wilderness Battlefield in Virginia. This set represents a complete original packet of ten cartridges and was formerly part of the renowned collection of historian and author Dean Thomas.

This exact group is published in Thomas’s Round Ball to Rimfire series—specifically, Volume 1, page 114—making it a rare and documented piece of Civil War ammunition history.

The cartridges are housed in a Riker display case. Please note: the items are held in place by pressure and may shift during shipping. They will need to be repositioned upon receipt.

This unique published set comes with a certificate of authenticity, which includes Dean Thomas’s original photo layout used in the book. A true one-of-a-kind offering for the advanced Civil War collector.
