Z9032 Full Box of 9mm French Centerfire Revolver Cartridges (SFM)

Description: Full and original box containing twenty-five 9mm centerfire revolver cartridges. These cartridges are housed in a two-piece pasteboard box, covered in light green paper with a bright yellow label printed in black.

Manufactured by the Société Française des Munitions (SFM)—a major French arms and ammunition producer that evolved from earlier firms such as Gevelot and Gévelot-SFM—this company supplied both military and civilian markets in France and internationally.

The cartridges are rimmed centerfire rounds with pointed lead bullets in brass cases. Although they may resemble rimfire cartridges at first glance, they are internally primed centerfire rounds, a detail typical of some late 19th-century French designs. These would have been suitable for use in a variety of revolvers of the era.

The lid exhibits four split corner seams, and one corner has a small bump with some loose paper. The box bottom is intact, with three partially split corner seams.

Overall, this is a great example of vintage French revolver ammunition, featuring a vibrant and well-preserved label—a fine addition for the cartridge or militaria collector.
