Z9072 9mm Mauser Export Cartridge (DWM-487)
Description: Nice example of a 9mm Mauser Export cartridge manufactured for use in the Mauser Model 1908 self-loading pistol, commonly referred to as the "Export Model." This powerful cartridge, also known as the 9x25mm Mauser, was introduced in the early 20th century for use in military and commercial markets abroad, particularly in South America, China, and parts of Europe.
This example was manufactured by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM). It is loaded with a nickel-plated steel-jacketed soft point bullet; a configuration likely intended for export or police/military applications where controlled expansion was desired. The bullet is magnetic due to its steel jacket construction.
A solid, representative cartridge from the interwar export era—an excellent addition to any early automatic pistol or European military cartridge collection.
