12 Ga. Peters Candy Stripe Victor Shotshell
Z9130 12 Ga. Peters Candy Stripe Victor Shotshell
Description: Excellent example of a Peters 12 Gauge Victor "Candy Stripe” shotshell. This scarce and highly recognizable shell features a white paper case with bold vertical red stripes, earning it the nickname "Candy Stripe” among collectors. It is finished with a white top wad marked in black print and secured by a neat roll crimp. The low brass head is embellished with the desirable chain link pattern surrounding the primer pocket, a detail often sought after by collectors of early Peters cartridges.
The Peters Cartridge Company, founded in 1887 in Kings Mills, Ohio, became well known for both its quality ammunition and its eye-catching package designs. The "Candy Stripe” shells are particularly popular because of their striking appearance and relatively limited survival rate, as paper shells were prone to deterioration over time.
This example remains in very nice condition with only minor soiling, retaining strong color and crisp lines. A highly collectible and visually distinctive early shotshell from Peters, perfect for display in any advanced collection.
