Z9225 28 Ga. Pointer Shotshell by Clinton Cartridge Company
Description: Scarce 28-gauge "Pointer” shotshell manufactured by the Clinton Cartridge Company of Chicago, Illinois. This factory-loaded shell features a reddish paper case, brass cup, and brass battery cup with a copper primer.

Production of Clinton’s "Pointer” brand began around 1904, placing it at the forefront of what would become the golden age of American bird hunting. From the early 20th century through the 1950s, this era saw the rise of sporting culture, upland game pursuits, and the widespread popularity of side-by-side shotguns across America. Marketed with classic styling and an evocative name, the "Pointer” line was designed to resonate with the American sportsman.

A fine example of early 20th-century shotshell manufacturing and a nostalgic reminder of America’s storied sporting tradition.
