Z9266 16 Ga. Brass NPE Shotshell by REM-UMC

Description: Decent example of a 16 Ga. brass new primed empty (NPE) shotshell manufactured by Remington-U.M.C. This shell features a brass case with a reinforced head and raised center, fitted with a copper primer. The case shows scattered spotting, along with one larger dark blemish on one side.

Brass NPEs like this were intended for reloading and were widely used during the late 19th and early 20th centuries before paper and plastic hulls became dominant. This being a REM-UMC product would date sometime in the early to mid-20th century. A representative 16-gauge specimen from one of America’s most prolific manufacturers.
