Z9255 British SA Buckshot BL .476” Mark II Cartridge Packet
Description: Nice, full, and correct packet of .476″ "India Pattern” buckshot cartridges. The Cartridge S.A. Buckshot B.L. .476 inch Bore Mark II was introduced in July 1907 for Martini–Henry pattern arms used in India. Each cartridge is formed from coiled sheet brass and necked to retain 20 buckshot; construction includes a brass head, brass cup, and reinforcement cup.
This packet was manufactured at the Kirkee Factory, India and is dated 1/2/29. The packet is in very nice condition with little to no soiling; there are a few extremely minor holes in the paper (mostly where cartridge rims press at the ends). An exceptional, display-ready packet issued to the Indian Army while under British authority — a fine piece for militaria and colonial-era ammunition collections.
