Z9402 12 Ga. Winchester AA Trap Window Shotshell
Description: Nice 12-gauge salesman sample "window” shotshell. This example highlights the Winchester–Western Double A (AA) line, first introduced in the 1965 catalog and promoted as "the strongest shotshell ever made.” These shells featured compression-formed polyethylene cases with a tensile strength of 35,000 PSI, a solid head, and the innovative Double A wad. The transparent cutaway clearly displays all internal components.
Produced in limited numbers for promotional use, these "window” shells allowed Winchester–Western representatives to demonstrate the construction and quality of their ammunition to dealers and sportsmen. Unlike standard production shells, they were never intended for firing, which makes surviving specimens both scarce and highly collectible today.
