Y644 Original .44 D.C. Sage Seamless Skin Cartridge in Wooden Block Remnant

Description: Here is a nice combination. This group includes an original .44 seamless skin cartridge produced by D.C. Sage of Middletown, Connecticut. The cartridge and bullet are still held together but the powder is missing. When issued, 6 of these cartridges would have been packaged into a wooden block. This one still retains a portion of the wooden block and label. This particular label was manufactured for W.J. Syms & Bro. of 300 Broadway, New York.
