M143 .45 Colt Cartridge for the M1873 SAA (1873-1874)
Description: Nice example of an early .45 Colt cartridge manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal between 1873 and 1874. This round was designed for use with the Colt M1873 Single Action Army revolver, famously known as the "Peacemaker.”

This cartridge features a flat-nose 250 grain bullet seated in a copper case over 30 grains of black powder. It is internally Benet-primed, representing the early centerfire system adopted before the externally primed cases became standard.

This cartridge remains in decent overall condition. The bullet has light oxidation and there are a few spots on the case. An excellent example of an Indian War era .45 Colt cartridge!
