Z2413 Full Box of .45-70-500 Rifle Cartridges 1888 Pattern

Description: Very nice full, correct, and sealed box containing 20 1882 pattern cartridges. These are tinned brass shells with a .45, 500 grain bullet and 70 grains of powder. The box is in very nice shape considering its age. There is light soiling, and the pull string is intact. There are a few small splits at the points of the corners. There is a partial ink stamp on the top that was applied at the Frankford Arsenal. The label reads as follows:

IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS

Clean the inside of EVERY shell thoroughly before reloading.

Resize every shell before reloading.

Lubricate slightly the exterior of shell before sizing.

CAUTIONS.

Never prime a LOADED shell.

Never load a primed shell without a SAFETY-SOCKET.

MANUFACTURED AT FRANKFORD ARSENAL.
