Z9427 Civil War 12mm Pinfire Cartridge – C.D. Leet
Description: Nice example of a 12mm pinfire cartridge produced for use in revolvers such as the Lefaucheux Model 1854. This cartridge was manufactured in the United States during the Civil War by Charles D. Leet of Springfield, Massachusetts.

It features a pointed bullet seated in a copper case with a brass pin. Compared to the more common European-manufactured pinfire cartridges, American-made examples are quite scarce, making this piece particularly desirable to collectors.

This cartridge is in very nice condition, with some spotting on the copper case. A fine example of a scarcer U.S.-made pinfire cartridge from the Civil War era, ideal for display or study.
