Z1571 Rare 28th Pennsylvania "Bucks" Button
Description: This button pictures a running buck with Pennsylvania on the top and "28" in a circle below. These buttons are thought to have been produced in the early 1800's and are extremely scarce with only a few known to exist. There is one pictured in Albert's reference book and a hand drawn example in Tice's reference book. Very little is known about this button. The 28th Pennsylvania mustered into service at the beginning of the American Civil War.
