Z4008 Federal 3" Schenkl Shell Fragment (Antietam Retreat)
Description: Nice size fragment off of a Federal 3" Schenkl shell. This one was recovered on the Borden Farm just East of the famous Trough Road. This area was heavily shelled during the Confederate retreat from Antietam.
Measures: 5.25" x 2"
Recovered: Battle of Shepherdstown, Va. September 19-20 1862
