Z4297 Rare Second Regiment Artillery & Engineers Coat Button 1799-1802 (AY9/Unlisted)
Description: Here is a fine dug example of a very rare button to find. This is a coat size button of the 2nd Regiment of U.S. Artillery and Engineers. It was excavated in Wilton, New Hampshire in October 2020 and the exact location will be provided to the buyer as provided by the digger. It has exceptional detail, a crisp backmark, and a perfect shank. You would be hard pressed to upgrade this example for the price!
Backmark: "(star) CARTER (star) / LOMBARD STREET" rm between two solid rings.
Measures: 21.72 mm
Recovered: October 2020, Wilton, New Hampshire
