Z4462 .58 Compressed Powder Cartridge by the Mount Pleasant Cartridge Company

Description: Here is a nice modern cartridge that was produced in the 1950's-1960's by the Mount Pleasant Cartridge Company. They were issued in pasteboard boxes of 10 and were meant for reenactors. These are very similar to the .58 compressed cartridges produced during the American Civil War but are missing the thin outer coating. They have a pressed powder charge that is glued to the base of the projectile. Even though these are somewhat modern, they are still collectible in their own right.
