Z4471 Pre-WWI Model 1896 .38 Revolver Cartridge Box (Dated 1908)

Description: Nice clean example with a little soiling on the front of the flap. The tongue is stamped 2.G. / 63 on the tip near the finial. The straps have a little crazing on the top and one strap end is loose. If you are looking at the back it's the left strap. The inspector on this is T.C.C. which stands for Thomas C. Carroll. These boxes were dyed black until 1902 when they switched over to the russet leather color.

Marked: ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, 1908, T.C.C.

Measures: 1.5" x 1.5" x 4"
