Z4674 Rare .50 Cartridge with the Experimental Roberts Bullet
Description: Here is a very rare experimental cartridge listed in the series of cartridges displayed at the Philadelphia Exposition. This one has the patented Roberts bullet and is described as the following in Lewis's book, "Experimental Roberts bullet; blunt ellipsoidal front, broad shallow cannelure, and cavity in base. Lubrication in cannelure." This does have the tinned iron cup anvil held in place with crimps. A picture of the actual bullet used can be seen on page 63 of Lewis's book.
