Z4943 Large Redware Crock by John Bell of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania
Description: Very nice 1 gallon plus size John Bell earthenware crock. This one just came out of a local auction and is quite nice compared to most. The interior has a clear lead glaze and the outside is left unglazed. This one shows nice honest use with an unwashed outside. There is one very small wear mark on the rim. No hairlines, cracks, etc.
Marked: "JOHN BELL / WAYNSBORO" 1850-1880
Measures: 8.75" in height, 8.25" outside diameter on top, 6.5" outside diameter on the bottom
