Description: Nice 41-page legal brief pamphlet between the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. and the United States Cartridge Company. This United States Patent Office brief is in regard to Trademark opposition No. 1136. The United States Cartridge Company is the applicant and Winchester Repeating Arms Co. is the opposition. This brief pertains to "Black Color as a Trademark for Cartridge Shells." The US cartridge company often marked their crates as "The Black Shells for Shotguns." The pamphlet is intact with wear to the outer cover on the edges. The outer cover is intact on the spine but is detached at the top and bottom. There are a few corrections to the text within written in pencil. A great legal document to have pertaining to the "Black Shells."
