Z4439 Federal Regulation 1874 Pattern Officer's Waist Belt Plate Ca. 1900-1920
Description: Nice officer's pattern buckle featuring an eagle with spread wings within a wreath. This example is similar to Plate No. 197 in O'Donnell and Campbell's buckle book but is unmarked. The tongue and belt loop are applied, and the back retains quite a bit of the silver plating. Even though this plate is unmarked, it's a very nice example.
Measures: 52 mm x 77 mm
Recovered: Non-Excavated
Reference: O'Donnell & Campbell, American Military Belt Plates Pg. 544 No. 917 Variant
