Description: Nice early button with detail. This one reads, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" across the top with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on a ribbon below. The eagle with a shielded chest sits below with wings spread. This example shows honest use and the shank is bent. Tice's "Dating Buttons" book dates the Richard Robinson & Company between 1813-1828.
