Z5146 Palatine West Virginia Stoneware Pear Canning Jar
Description: Very nice wax seal canning jar manufactured by the Palatine Pottery Company in Palatine, West Virginia. This one has a clear stenciled cobalt design on the front. There are a few flea bites on the interior edge of the top. The body is slightly tapered with a tooled rim. There are no large chips or flakes. There is a tight hairline to the right of the stencil. It measures approximately 2.5" up the side and 1.5" across the base from the bottom edge. This hairline is visible from the inside. There is another faint curved hairline across the base that is not visible from the interior. A great piece of West Virginia pottery!
