Z5288 British 93rd "Sutherland Highlanders" Button
Description: Very nice water recovered enlistedman's pattern with a missing shank and exceptional detail for a pewter button. The body of the button is rather flat and appears to be pushed. It was probably slightly convex at one time. The backmark is legible. Nayler has the P&S Firmin backmark dating from 1840-1843 but I have seen references where it's listed in the late 1830's.
Backmark: "P&S FIRMIN / LONDON"
