Z5381 .50 Gallager Carbine Cartridge
Description: Here a scarce loading for the Civil War .50 Gallager carbine. This is a .50 Maynard bullet loaded into a Poultney Patent paper & foil Gallager cartridge. All the Poultney Patent Maynard and Gallager cartridges were manufactured by B.C. English of Springfield, Massachusetts. I’ve seen a few of these on the market over the years but they aren’t that common. More than likely this is just a cartridge that wasn’t properly manufactured according to specifications. This cartridge is in decent shape with a tear in the outer paper cover.
