Z5583 Empty Civil War Ammunition Packet for .44 Johnston & Dow Cartridges
Description: Nice original paper wrapper that once contained 6 .44 Colt Army revolver cartridges. This style has the label printed directly on the paper wrapper. The paper is in nice shape with some light soiling and two small pinholes on the bottom edge. The original packet of percussion caps is still in the wrapper. This packet would have contained 6 paper cartridges coated in collodion. This made the paper portion waterproof and highly flammable. This would make a great addition to any Civil War cartridge collection and won’t break the bank. The label reads as follows:
JOHNSTON & DOW’S
