Z5564 .45 Long Colt for the M1873 Colt SAA (1873-1874)
Description: Very nice cartridge used in conjunction with the Colt M1873 Single Action Army Revolver, better known as the "Peacemaker.” These were manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal from 1873-1874. They are internally Benet-primed centerfire cartridges with a copper cup. Each cartridge contains 30 grains of black powder with a 250 grain projectile. These were replaced in 1875 with the similar but shorter cartridge for use with the M1873 and Smith & Wesson Schofield. An excellent Indian War cartridge!
