Z5573 Scarce .54 Roundball Cartridge for Flintlock Pistols
Description: Hard to find long version of the .54 roundball cartridge for use with the .54 Martial Pistols or the .52 Hall carbine. While this is similar to the .54 roundball cartridge for percussion pistols, you will notice that it’s a little longer. This cartridge also held powder for the pan as well as the powder charge for the projectile. This cartridge is intact with a soiling and slight paper loss on the tail/side. The tail is glued to the body. There is an indentation around the main body which means it was probably strung to a board display at some point. A harder to find Pre-Civil War era cartridge!
Measures: D .553” L 1.872”
Reference: Round Ball to Rimfire Vol. 1 No. 66-67
