Z5712 .52 Sharps "Linen” Carbine Cartridge
Description: Decent .52 Sharps "Linen” carbine cartridge. These cartridges were manufactured during the American Civil War by a few different manufacturers. The most notable companies are The Sharps Rifle Company of Hartford, Connecticut, and Johnston & Dow of New York.

This example is in nice shape with very little oxidation on the bullet. The linen casing is nice and round with very little soiling or glue residue. The thin paper insert has a small crack that has been stabilized. A somewhat common but heavily used Civil War Cartridge!
