Z5711 .50-60-500 Rimfire Cartridge with "50 CAL" Headstamp
Description: Decent .50-60 cartridge with the rare headstamp of "50 CAL.” According to Berkeley Lewis, this example was manufactured at Springfield. There are three crimps located .503” down from the case mouth. The casing is free of dents but is mottled in color. It appears to have been varnished or lacquered at one time and needs to be properly cleaned. The bullet appears to have been coated at one time and has some oxidation spots. A hard cartridge to find and the first of its type I’ve been able to offer.
Headstamp: Impressed "50 / CAL” with four tic marks
Measures: OAL 1.914” CL 1.484” HD .644” RD .560”
