Z5715 .50 Gallager Carbine Cartridge (Tinned)

Description: Scarce tin plate brass cartridge for the .50 Gallager carbine. These cartridges are fairly scarce. I believe I’ve had two or three of them over the years. The plating on this example is well worn. There are two small dents on the side of the casing and two on the bottom. I dug one of these in Hedgesville, West Virginia at a small fort overlooking the B&O railroad several years ago. A scarce Civil War cartridge variant!
