Z6004 British Royal Navy Cuff Button
Description: Nice excavated cuff size example of a British Royal Navy button. The face features a crown over a fouled anchor. This example has a bent shank and plenty of gilt on the front and back. This button would date to the War of 1812 era up through the early 1820’s and would be used by several different ranks. Tice places the firm of Hammond, Turner & Dickinson in Birmingham U.K. from 1790-1820.
Backmark: "HAMMOND / TURNER & DICKINSON” rm with crown at top.
Measures: 16 mm
