Z5996 Revolutionary War 37th Regiment of Foot Button
Description: Decent Revolutionary War coat button worn by enlisted men of the British 37th Regiment of Foot. The face features an Arabic "37” surrounded by a raised wreath. This example has a push or wear to the bottom of the 37. The exact recovery of this button is unknown. There is a number 6 or 9 on the back in orange paint. Don Troiani told me this is one of his earliest catalogued pieces. The orange marked pieces were recovered by Calver & Bolton in New York. They were then sold to Albert and then to Don.
