Z6044 1839 Pattern, "Baby US” Cartridge Box Plate, W.H. Smith
Description: Very nice non-excavated Civil War boxplate. This one is marked "W.H. Smith / Brooklyn” on the back in crisp letters. It has a die struck face and a lead filled back. The patina is excellent, and the loops aren’t rusted. An excellent example!
Maker Marked: "W.H. SMITH / BROOKLYN”
Measures: 41 mm x 72 mm
Reference: "American Military Belt Plate” O’Donnell & Campbell Pg. 325 Plate 528 (Circa 1861)
Recovered: Non-Excavated
