Z6050 Empty Box for .52 Sharps Linen Cartridges
Description: Decent empty box that once contained 10 .52 Sharps linen cartridges and 12 percussion caps. This box is military issue due to the addition of the "CAPS” on the top label. The sides have been carefully cut open and the top half is uncut and hinges open. This example was manufactured by the Sharps’ Rifle Manufacturing Company located in Hartford, Connecticut. There is light soiling throughout and the top label is clear and legible. This would make an excellent display piece sitting next to your Sharps Carbine! The top label reads as follows:
10 CARTRIDGES,
12 CAPS,
FOR SHARPS’ IMPROVED RIFLE.
52/100 Calibre.
A Superior Quality of Powder is used, made by
A.G. Fay, Potter & Tolman, Boston, Mass.
