Z5950 .40-100 3 ¼” Winchester Experimental Cartridge
Description: Scarce example known as the .40-100 Express cartridge. This is the experimental forerunner for what is known as the .40-100 Express cartridge. This cartridge has a brass case, a Berdan primer, and doesn’t have a headstamp. The projectile has a flat nose and is paper patched. The brass case has a shiny band near the head from tape. A hard-to-find early example!
