Z6072 Vermont State Seal Button (Post-Civil War)

Description: Very nice early 1900’s Vermont State Seal button with a subdued front and back. This is a two-piece button with the Vermont state seal in the center. The stag head is above, motto on ribbon below, VERMONT at the top with 13 stars encircling. This example was sold through Pettibone Manufacturing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Subdued buttons were in use starting in the very early 1900’s.

Backmark: "PETTIBONE MF’G CO / (dot) CINCINNATI (dot)” dm with an inner ring of dots.

Measures: 23 mm
