Description: Very nice collar insignia from a very short-lived Canadian unit. The 136th Overseas Battalion was formed around 1915-1916. It was sent to England and was absorbed by the 39th C.I.B. and the unit officially disbanded in 1917. This "other ranks'” collar badge has a "136” in the middle of a maple leaf. The outer ring reads as follows: "DURHAM OVERSEAS BATT / CANADA.” Both lugs are firmly affixed on the back.
