Z4765 Civil War 10 Second Paper Time Fuse
Description: Decent single 10 second paper time fuse. These fuses were used with a variety of artillery shells. They slip right into the opening of a fuse adaptor. Once fired, the fuse would burn down according to the time and in theory, the shell would explode. This example has a 10 second burn time but could be trimmed for a shorter distance. It has decent legible markings and is still coated in the original arsenal finish.
Measures: 2.008”
Reference: "Artillery Fuses of the Civil War” Charles Jones Pg.161-166
Recovered: Non-Excavated
