Description: Minty example of the ball used for the .58 Johston & Dow paper cartridges often erroneously called "skin” cartridges. These bullets have three cannelures and a conical cavity. The bottom two bands are flat and the top band sticks out. This allowed the paper cartridge to be glued to a semi flat surface.
