Z6465 MBA 13MM Gyrojet Rocket Cartridge, Powder Metal Nozzle
Description: Nice example of the standard 13mm Gyrojet with the patented "powder metal” nozzle. The patent for the powder metal nozzle was awarded to MBA on December 31, 1968, as Patent No. 3,419,230. Its creation stemmed from the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. The main benefit of the powder metal nozzle was forward thrust. This example has a copper-plated steel case and a four-port powder metal nozzle. The nozzle has an aluminum foil seal underneath and was crimped into place. The copper primer is stab crimped into place and sealed with Humiseal. An excellent example with a bright finish and very little wear.
