Z6487 .54 Starr Linen Cartridge (St. Louis Arsenal)

Description: Very nice linen cartridge manufactured at the St. Louis Arsenal for the .54 Starr carbine. These have a pointed lead bullet wrapped in a linen case with a blue paper base. This example is in very nice shape clean linen. There is a little tallow or lubricant around the linen edge at the case mouth. A fine Civil War cartridge!
