Z6485 .36 Lipfire Cartridge by Allen & Wheelock
Description: Decent example of the .36 lipfire cartridge used in the Allen & Wheelock revolver. Originally, these were designated as the No. 50 cartridges and were later standardized to the No. 36. This style of cartridge was patented on September 25, 1860, as Patent No. 30,109. This example has a pointed bullet with two raised bands and a copper case. Nice example with spotting or discoloration on two sides of the case. The bullet is lightly oxidized.
