Z6484 .36 Lipfire Cartridge by Allen & Wheelock

Description: Decent example of the .36 lipfire cartridge used in the Allen & Wheelock revolver. Originally, these were designated as the No. 50 cartridges and were later standardized to the No. 36. This style of cartridge was patented on September 25, 1860, as Patent No. 30,109. This example has a pointed bullet with two raised bands and a copper case. There is a small dent on one side of the case and there is spotting on the case color and a red mark on the nose of the projectile. This is probably the most sought-after size.
