Z6474 .36 Marston & Goodell Cartridge
Description: Decent and rare .36 Marston cartridge manufactured with a blue/green paper tube and a perforated leather base. The patent for this cartridge was awarded to William Marston and Frederick Goodell under Patent No. 8,956 dated May 18, 1852. These cartridges were separate primed and made in a variety of common calibers including a shotshell. A decent example with an oxidized bullet with a single cannelure. The case retains its shape and there are two very small splits in the case mouth. This is the smallest size Marston cartridge. A tough one to find!
