Description: Scarce example with the faint but desirable raised "SAW” headstamp. This example is in nice shape with a lightly oxidized bullet and a copper case with spots. These were manufactured by Sage Ammunition Works of Middletown, Connecticut. They manufactured rimfire cartridges between 1864-1866. This cartridge was used in the M1865 Spencer carbine. A hard-to-find variant!
