Description: Nice early rimfire with a cone or deep-dish base measuring .084” in depth. This style of cartridge was manufactured by the Phoenix Metallic Cartridge Company under Joseph Merwin’s Patent No. 175,293 of March 28, 1876. A nice example with a lightly oxidized bullet with a very small flat spot on the side of the bullet.
